Hotel Gnanam Rooms

Breakfast buffet was excellent! Easy walk to the palace. Appreciated having both veg and non-veg restaurants adjacent to the hotel. We asked the hotel to arrange a driver to our next location. The car and driver were both very good.

The location was excellent being close to the Big temple and Palace.Breakfast was awesome and tasty and room was indeed comfortable.I will defintely stay there if i visit thanjavur and also recommend to friends

The room was squeaky clean. The breakfast was good and the location was very convenient. I loved the ambience that reflected the place.

Big and comfortable room with good ambience. Healthy & tasty breakfast. Location is quite nearer to main sight-seeing points like Brihadeeshwar Shiva temple, Bird Sanctuary and main market just opposite the hotel.

The room is very nice and comfortable. Air-conditioning works well. Morning breakfast was a bomb. We enjoyed all the chutney in the property (corriander, coconut and spicy). Special mention on their kaara chutney where the Vadai goes well with it. We had a happy tummy. About the location, I think this property is the best choice and it is nearest to the Thanjavur Brihadeshwarar Temple.

Liked location. Room was quite big. Breakfast was good. Should give Authentic filter coffee.

The hotel is old and restored, loved the ambience and hospitality. Breakfast had variety and good quality. Rooms were quite comfortable but the bathrooms needs upgrade though

Like very much.. Congrats AC Engineer attended query fastly. Room service boy services satisfied. Morning tiffin service satisfied. Booked one room by booking. Com with lower rate but another room booked inperson was higher rate. Hotel management may be Consider both rooms in lower rate.

Very ideal location - very close to Brihdeeshwara temple, the palace, the main market, restaurants, bus stand and the places of veena making, tanjore painting making, bronze artefacts making and doll making. The breakfast was full variety of local, ethnic- fresh and tasted excellent- very delicious. And so were other meals too. Room Service was prompt. The room, linen, bathroom were very clean

Very good facilities but poor wifi!! Staffs are very helpful and well mannered!!

Only plus is location close to Brihadeswara temple and property on main road.

Lovely stay at Hotel Gnanam. Room was at the back of the Hotel so nice and quiet and comfortable if a little dated. They are currently renovating the rooms so that will change soon. Excellent location so we could walk to both the palace and the Big Temple. Staff were all very pleasant. Big thank you to the restaurant staff where we enjoyed some great vegetarian meals and some lovely conversations. Also thanks to the reception staff for organising a day trip to the Kumbakonam and our onward travel to Puducherry.

Restaurant staff were extremely courteous, especially Shanti. Food, we had for lunch and dinner was tasty and clean. Breakfast spread was quite good and enjoyed the same.

Comfortable and very clean. Generous breakfast - both Indian and European... chocolate cereal and cold milk were a surprise treat! Staff are very helpful. Room service is a nice surprise, and food is good quality, especially chicken Tikka. It is a nice place to retreat from the busy streets.

Excellent location, helpful staff. They called us to inform that breakfast was closing in half an hour and also extended breakfast service for 20 minutes because we were yet to reach there.

The location is very good for visiting the big temple, it’s about 15 minutes walk away . Our room was large and quite clean.
